Today, I’m super excited to share a big talk from my 2023 Speaker Salon Showcase. This talk was given by a powerful and captivating speaker, AnnMarie Flynn, Ph.D. 

 

Dr. AnnMarie Flynn spent 25 years as a leader in engineering higher education, where she honed her skills as a DEI professional. She also split her time as a business partner in three award-winning restaurants in NYC. Her focus and passion is expanding inclusive cultures in corporate America.

 

I’m so honored to feature her amazing talk, “Inclusion is not what you think.”

 

In her big talk, she explores:

 

  • Her experience as a university professor building a culture of happiness and inclusivity

  • The distinct differences between diversity, equity, and inclusion, and why these differences matter 

  • Why inclusion can exist without diversity, but diversity cannot exist without inclusion

  • Actionable strategies to cultivate a truly inclusive atmosphere and what will happen as a result
