Today, I am so excited to be bringing you the first episode in a new series I’m doing on The Big Talk Podcast all inspired by David Mamet’s book, True and False: Heresy and Common Sense for the Actor.

The reason I’m sharing this series with you is because this is the technique I studied at the Atlantic Theater Company here in New York City and it is the exact technique I use when working with my speakers and my actors. It is what I call objective and action, and if you’re familiar with method acting, this is the total opposite of that approach.

Together, we are going to go through this amazing book and I’m going to share with you the takeaways I have gained from it and from its incredible author — who is also a brilliant playwright and director.

Let’s dive into part one!
